Crabby

Mommy & Daddy are being so mean to me this morning. Daddy said if I didn't get up he would give my hug to Hayden. AND HE DID! That made me cry so Daddy said he would give me Stephanie's hug instead. But I don't want Stephanie's hug - I WANT MY HUG! Mommy said he didn't really give Hayden my hug but I saw him!

Then Mommy said Stephanie's hands were cold so I had her touch my hands but she said they were warm. They are NOT! My hands are cold too!

WHY are they being so mean?

News

This is me and some of our cats. I think we should probably get some more. Mommy had these pillows on the porch for awhile when we got rid of our old couches and Daddy brought us some new ones. But we're still not supposed to jump on them.

Cake, anyone?

Mommy has been calling the baby "Babycakes" so today I started calling her "Mommycakes." That made Mommy laugh so hard I thought she was going to fall down. I'm funny.

More Kitten News

OK. These used to be 5 brothers and sisters but now there's only 4. And the names Mommy gave them earlier don't really work very well so we changed some of them.
This one is just gray with no orange in him so we now call him Smokey. He's the most scaredest of these kitties.
This one used to be Sunrise but now she is Scruffy. Actually, she does look pretty scruffy so Daddy started calling her that. I don't know where she is going on my bike though. She's also the smallest and my favorite. She always lets me catch and pet her.
This one we still call Eclipse. Isn't she pretty? She is Daddy's favorite.
This one doesn't seem to have a good name so we just call him Midnight still. He irritates Mommy because he doesn't purr. She also says he is "camel-frogged" cuz he blends in with the grass and leaves.

My Jewels

I got some jewelry. Whenever I put it on, I think I am "Barbie Girl". She's a superhero, you know. I look very pretty in my bracelets and necklaces and rings.

When I'm in a giggly crazy mood, I like to tell Mommy she's a "Nematoad." I don't know what that is but it's FUNNY! I got it off of SpongeBob.

Trick or Treat!

Big Help

This is me helping Mommy fold clothes. I like to fold one sock at a time and put it in a row like a train. This row went all the way thru the living room and into Mommy's room when I was done.

We went to WalMart today and there was a lady there dressed as a Woodland Fairy. She had some "fairy dust" and gave me some. It was so pretty and sparkly. I held it in my hand for a long time but I must have dropped it somewhere.

I want all the "Little Mermaid" stuff I see on the TV! And all the "Dora" stuff. And all the "Barbie" stuff. And even some of the "boy" stuff but Hayden says I can't want that but I do anyway. Mommy doesn't get too annoyed at me when I say "I want" to everything on TV. She says she went thru this with Hayden and it's mainly just a phase.

Sad News

I lost my baby bear. It's been over a week. We went to Lincoln and he got lost somewhere. I think I took him into a store with me but Daddy called the stores and no one saw him. I still miss him at bedtime sometimes.

Pumpkin Farm

This is the "Mummy's Daycare" where they tried to leave me and Stephanie. I didn't mind though - they were playing awesome music.
My Aunt Peggi even gave me a ride on the bicycles they had there. She said they were hard to drive at first. Believe me, they were hard to stay on her lap too!

Dress Up

I love to play dress up. My Auntie Netter made some dress up clothes for me for my last birthday. I've been wearing my costumes all week. Stephanie likes to play with the necklaces and stuff but she doesn't really like wearing the clothes.


We both have Tinkerbell costumes!

This is Hayden with Rhubarb and Asparagus and me with Lima Bean (and Baby Bear).

And then...just last week we found FIVE more kitties! I'm so excited!

There are actually 3 of these black kittens. 2 of them have orange tinted spots. Mommy didn't get a good picture of the other 2. They're supposed to stay in the chicken coop since they're so little and the "Other Mother" is scared of us. But I just had to play with this one. We're naming these 3 "Midnight", "Blackout", and "Eclipse".
This is my favorite. Because I can always catch him. He is "Sunrise".
And this one is "Sunset". Mommy and Hayden came up with the names. I just call them "Kitties".

CATS

These are MY cats. The big one in front is the "Mother Cat". The one in the back kind of hiding is the "Other Cat". The gray one is "Tex". And the 3 little orange ones are the baby kitties. Mommy is calling them "Asparagus", "Rhubarb", and "Lima Bean". She says we can name them something else if we want but until Hayden and I come up with names I guess we're stuck with those.

I don't know why Mommy always thinks I need a nap!

Fair

We went to the fair last weekend. We got to ride a lot of rides. This is me and my "best friend" Camden on the first ride we saw.

I don't know who these boys are. But since they were in MY car, I had to tell them to "Buckle Up." That's what Daddy always says.

This is my friend Dana and her mom Amy. Apparently my mom knows her somehow. I don't remember what we were looking at, but it must have been important so it was probably the horses.

Blog from Mommy

Meredith has no idea how lucky she is that she is already in bed. I went out to feed the cats tonight and heard a little "Meow"-ing coming from somewhere. When I went in the cat house, I discovered she had trapped one of the little kittens under a pail. Poor little thing was scared to death and just shook for awhile while I tried to comfort him. (And while his mother politely inquired just when I was going to put the food out.) So I put the kitten in with the food and he seemed fine then & HUNGRY. The other 2 kittens showed up then too, but they really weren't interested in eating so I don't know if he was trapped all day? or just a couple of hours? She got in trouble yesterday for power bombing Tex. Well, he was on her shoulder & she just threw him to the ground. OK. I know she's only 3 and doesn't have much self control yet. BUT...shouldn't she be able to NOT kill the kittens?

My Compulsion

I don't know what the big deal is. So I like having things in order. It took me a long time to do this (do you know how hard it is to balance those cups on top of each other) and for some reason Mommy thought it was "funny." ...Like she doesn't have her own issues.

Babysitting

Mommy's been letting me babysit once in awhile....

Hard Work

Man, this pttty-training stuff is hard work! I don't care about stickers today - I'm taking the day off!

Stickers

I get to put stickers on a chart. I like this. Every time I go to the bathroom in the toilet I get a sticker. Mom says I need to be housebroke so I can go to Sunday School and preschool. Jeesh. I'm only 3 and 1/4. Daddy says I should be housebroke already but when he was watching me, he thought diapers were easier. I'm pretty smart so it won't take long unless they make me mad, then they can just forget about it!

This morning

Mommy caught me sneaking a brownie this morning. I was going to eat more but I only got one before she came in the kitchen. It was hard work too - I had to pull my chair all the way over to the stove. So now I don't get a brownie for lunch.

I like to wear only one sock. Mommy asked me why so I told her, "Because I like one sock on and one sock off." Jeeesh. Shouldn't that be obvious?

Little Kitty

We have a little kitty. He's supposed to be an outside cat but right now he lives in a cage on our porch. He's gray and his name is "Tex." I like to play with him all the time. Sometimes I get to play with him by myself. I found a really cool game to play with him. I found a spray bottle on the porch and sprayed it at him. Then Mom saw me and she freaked out and yelled at me and sent me to my room and then she had to give Tex a bath with dog shampoo which he didn't like at all. Actually, the spray stuff was called turtle wax. I don't know where she put it now - I can't find it. But Tex still likes me.

Now I have to go eat my chicken nuggets. They're "a-lic-ious!"

Petting Zoo

This is me holding a chick at the Geneva 4th of July celebration. I liked holding him but he scratched me. So did the rabbit. I was pretty tired by the time we got to the petting zoo. We had spent all afternoon at the pool.

Flower Girl

These are my new friends Mandy & Carlee. They helped me find the flowers for my hair. They were fun to play with. I met them at Mommy's family get together.

Hello

My name is Meredith. I am 3. I had an imaginary friend named "Daphne" for a day. She may still be around but I'm not telling Mom. My big brother is teaching me how to talk back. I tried to wear some Snoopy slippers outside today but Mom told me I can't wear "her" slippers outside so I remembered what Hayden always said and I told her, "Actually, they are Daddy's slippers." That made her mad for some reason. I know she always tells Hayden not to contradict her but I'm so much cuter than him!
