Usually when we go to soccer games, the other kids run off and I'm left to watch by myself...

Today I had company.

Learning to Ride

Meredith has started taking riding lessons.

She's been wanting to be a cowgirl for awhile now. 

She's even decided to go to cowgirl college.

So Daddy thought it was time to get her on a horse.

The girl who is teaching her is Katie and she manages a stable close to town.

The horse's name is "Maggie."

We finally made it to Grandma and Grandpa's house to celebrate Meredith's 9th Birthday!

A Bad Day

My little Meredith was having a bad day yesterday morning. She seemed to be playing nicely with her sister and little brother but when Stephanie simply asked her to not erase her picture while she helped me with something, she called her a name and got sent to her room. We have had this conversation with Meredith many times about the way she treats her sister and it never seems to make any difference. Anyway, after her 'time-out', Meredith spent the rest of the day curled up on the couch reading. Apparently, she was needing some alone-time.

Later we went to a concert and my poor baby was very tired. I don't think she was sick, just really tired so we ended up leaving early.
